SCHMITT, Hubert

Hubert was called up for compulsory military service on 17 May 1950. As part of the armed forces, he volunteered to be part of the first Luxembourgish contingent in late September 1950. Without suffering from major injuries, Hubert made it through his deployment in Korea and returned on 2 October 1951. The same day he was officially liberated from his military duties. Later on he lived in the district “Pafendall” in Luxembourg City.
